Chapter 12: Nants

I cannot even begin with how angry I am.

It hurts and it bleeds and it makes me so frustrated that I have nothing else to breathe. You know that feeling don't you?

Michelle shivers and cold. There's nothing left for her to hold, "where are we? there's no dimensional space to alter...my powers...does not feel like it can work"

"Its because we are nowhere" Neste sounds. He is not within dimensional space so he does not have a body here.

Michelle wonders how a place like this exists. How can her usual mistakes cannot make the life here. It's like a washed up rodent...misplaced and mistaken.

"All I wanted was to go to the floating land, all I wished was something new" Michelle cries out. "I kill my enemies with one full swoop but I can still feel one within my coop." Lord Farsnet battle has been giving her nightmares. It may seem a little frivolous to Neste and the others. But for her, its been a little too under the weather.

"Lord Farsnet is not here Michelle you do not have to worry.." Neste affirms.

Wow, makes me worry even more but thanks..OHH! with this cycle of thought I can stop it in its tracks.

After some questioning, Michelle was back to normal. Michelle reflects on the necessity of collective when it comes to learning. Circumstances of test, no longer a burden but a gift of redemption, of change. Michelle knew this but now acknowledges it...resonates with it.

Nants appears with Nauticaor. He is a little frail but his cheeks are plumped with the joy of being with his loved one one-on-one.

"Maybe we can make a move to another space Michelle?" Nauticaor offers.

"But, I have to know the mechanisms of this space...how I cannot be able to use my full strength here. I've never encountered such a landscape" Michelle fervent, intrigued with all her research gear on.

During expeditions it is normal to encounter novel phenomena. And since she is not dealing with corporate entities, she no longer need to think of a product, just wisdom. Strapped with goggles, leather gloves, and a lead apron, Michelle is protected from radiation and any other forms of deathly compositions. She thinks aloud, "Maybe there is grumble of waste that is making the dimension falter...besides, matter is not created nor destroyed" Michelle brow furrows but her eyes are set to a goal.

Chorus of groans implode from the rest of her team but they smile because they love to see her in her element. They know it will be a fruitful endeavor to figure out this conundrum.

'Wait, why is my name on the title of this chapter?" Nants sounds annoyed.

"Maybe because you're important to a part of the above story?" Nauticaor says sweetly to him.

"Yea, you're important man. Like, you're frail but in love so thats heartwarming" Neste chimes in. "I know my persona is no longer a mention in people's heads...I think its how I'm presented in this story...its like I am erased."

"No, its something to come here...maybe a little tweak right here" Michelle clips a floor wire.

Floor wires are a common denominator in any "space" you catch yourself in. It's like a motherboard that dimensional hoppers and independent researchers can rely on for any info on the area their in.

A hologram of lush forrestery, chirping birds, and colorful fruit displays.

Nauticaor adds "This could be the last few memories of this space..."

"Yeah, if we look a little more we can make out the end" Michelle responds.

Anxious silence but then the light fizzles out.

"What? That's it?" Nester exclaims.

"Y'all...this does not seem safe right now" Nants coughs, eyes bulging. Michelle never saw him like this before.

"What the f..c.." Michelle looks around in the darkness. Her breathe tenses in her throat. "No...it can't be."

Heels click and clomp. "Wait..." Nauticaor says holding Nants back

"No we have to go now!" Nants protests.

"Boy if you don't..." Michelle gets closer. He stops.

Steady breath...steady breathe.

clomp, clunk, click, click....

The footsteps sounds regular at first but it begins to become sporadic. Numbered then it sounds like infinite.
